Projects
You will complete eight or nine projects throughout the course of SEI, each of which will last around one week. The full list of projects can be found here.
Each project is designed to test your understanding of the material covered in that unit and to challenge you to build something with what you learned. In addition to being required for graduation, they are the most effective way for you to demonstrate your skill to perspective employers.
Project Requirements
Each project has a set of requirements that must be met for a project to be considered Complete. For instance, every project must:
- Be deployed and publicly accessibly on the internet
- Be built in a public repository on your GitHub account (not GitHub Enterprise)
- Be a complete application that runs without errors
These are general requirements, each project also has a rubric against which it will be assessed for completion.
Project Extensions
Generally speaking, we do not grant extensions on projects. If you have extenuating circumstances (a family emergency, injury, illness, etc), then please ask!
At most, we can give a 3 day extension.
Project Resubmissions
If a project is marked as Incomplete, students may have up to three (3) days to submit a completed project. Students may receive such a resubmission on only one of the four projects.
