Graduation Requirements

Requirements

  • Complete at least 80% of your homework over the whole course
  • Complete and present at least five projects
  • Be absent no more than 2 days over the whole course
  • Be tardy no more than 5 days over the whole course

Please reference our attendance and homework policies for more information.

3 tardies equals one absence.

Graduation

If you meet all of the requirements above, you will be able to:

  • Be considered a graduate of this program and receive a graduation certificate
  • Attend Student Spotlight
  • Receive Outcomes support

What happens if you don’t meet all of the requirements?

If you don’t complete all the requirements above but complete the course (attend all 12 weeks) you wont be considered a graduate of SEI. Depending on your circumstances, you could still receive some support from outcomes but you will not be able to attend Student Spotlight and you will not receive a certificate from General Assembly.

Not graduating does not mean you wont be able to find a job as a developer! You may have to continue learning on your own after the course and it may take longer.

What happens if I meet all of the requirements except 1?

You must complete all of the above requirements to be considered a graduate. Not completing one (1) requirement means you will not be eligible for graduation.
