About

I am a multi disciplinary designer based in London, England.

I work at Konsileo where I am responsible for all phases of the UX process. Ideation, content architecture, wireframing and high fidelity UI design. I work with developers throughout the build of a project to help them meet Konsileo’s high standards for usability and design.

While at Konsileo, I have created products and experiences to eliminate the challenges caused by existing broking technology, helping our brokers be the best most rewarded insurance brokers in the industry.

My Bookshelf

Universal Principles of Design

William Lidwell

This is an encyclopaedia if 125 laws, guidelines, human biases, and general considerations important to successful design. It provided me with clear explanations of every design concept showing how we can use psychology design around people’s lives. Examples from the 80/20 Rule to the Weakest Link.

Letting Go of the Words: Writing Web Content That Works

Janice Redish

Within a start-up environment I ensure that content is easily and quickly consumable. This book gave me the structure and understanding I needed to create content that is easily and quickly consumable. This book sits on my desk and is a constant source of answers.

The Design of Everyday Things

Dom Norman

This book covers the fundamentals of what design is, why design is important and why our interactions with the world are either good or bad. An example in the book is the ‘Norman door’, the awkward moment of pulling a door instead of pushing it, which is usually the result of bad design.

Don't Make Me Think

Steve Krug

This is an easy to read guide to approaching web usability in a common sense way. This is a must have book for anyone involved in building technology interfaces.

Web Design With HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery Set

Jon Duckett

This two-book set is an invaluable resource for front end developers and web designers. It is important that a UX designer has a basic knowledge of the capabilities of these front-end tools. To promote collaboration and strong communication of ideas to the development team.

The User Experience Team of One: A Research and Design Survival Guide

Leah Buley

This book provided me with the necessary knowledge base and understanding of the history and techniques of UX design. When I first moved to UX this clearly written book showed me what works and what wastes time.
